Hello Everyone!
How is it possible that the obvious is not so obvious?
How is it SO OBVIOUS that the horses body IS NOT NORMAL WHERE EQUIPMENT is placed on horses.
How can we not SEE AND RECOGNIZE THE OBVIOUS?
Because:
We have eyes but we do not see
We have ears but cannot hear
We have hands but cannot feel
Here are several videos of OBVIOUS damage caused by equipment or injury.
Were these horses painful? Obviously YES!
Were these horses behavioral? Obviously YES!
Were they difficult to train? Obviously YES!
Were they all girthy? Obviously YES!
I have video after video of horses like these, unfortunately for the horses.
Sad fact is that all that horses had been seen by multiple veterinarians prior to my examination with complaints from the trainers of being “hot”, “girthy”, “anxious”, “behavioral”, “quirky”, “sensitive” etc. How many adverbs do we need to describe OBVIOUS INJURY AND PAIN?
We need to all be aware of the pain and discomfort these horses exhibit that WE completely IGNORE.
Awareness. If you become aware, will you help your horse, or horses in general?
What can you do now that you are aware? Go look at and palpate your horse to see if he/she has the same damage. If they do, please have your horse looked at by your veterinarian.
What else can you do? Bring awareness to help more horses. Please, please, please share this blog and videos with everyone you know on your social media platforms. We ALL need to help more horses and bring awareness to the obvious injuries occurring in our sport horses.
Remember to always put The Horse First.

Too bad there is not a Dr Declue in every city…because, numerous veterinarians would not even see any problem here!.
Seminars coming soon for those veterinarians!
Thank you for your comment! My goal has always been through the podcasts, this blog and social medial is to help educate people in the sport horse industry on the obvious injuries causing poor performance in sport horses. These obvious injury patterns I see daily as a veterinarian. I want to help bring awareness to these injuries to help prevent them. The more owners and trainers help their veterinarians be aware of these injuries and guide them to my podcast, blog or social media platforms, the more horses will benefit from this education. Please help spread the education.
